It will be the 15th edition of Chapel Hill, North Carolina’s PROGDAY on September 5th and 6th 2009-labor day weekend. Already on the bill are Ozric Tentacles (UK), Qui (Japan), Mörglbl (France) and French TV (USA). Three more bands are to be announced. We would love to see you there. We plan on doing a few of our new songs-newer than Narrow-Caster-to make it worth the drive!

Wow, March. Firstly, Narrow-Caster continues to garner plenty of great press and there’s even more on the way. Check out the reviews page for a look at The Prog Files and Rock Report reviews. Also, thanks to some great exposure at ProgArchives.com, we’ve probably doubled our fan base since early December and it gives us a great vibe going into our new work on....

”Album #4”. Yes, we’ve got back to work on music-new music-an entire CD in the 50 minute+ range, consisting of songs written out of ideas lying around recently, with Robert, Pat and George sharing each others ideas back and forth. We’re demoing on our various computer programs (George seen above recently), turning those ideas into songs, matching up some lyrics, sending mp3’s to each other and commenting positively and negatively on these ideas. So it’s a lot of internal creative criticism before the full demos are passed onto whoever we decide to produce the album with us if we go that route.

Also, we will have a table at many of the 2009 Prog Festivals including ROSfest, 3RP, NEARfest, FMPM and Calprog. Please come up and say “hi” and if you have a jewel case version of Narrow-Caster, you can trade it in for the new “eco-wallet” if you’d like to.

RJP

As you can see in the picture, it is a brilliantly printed upon recycled hard paper package with all the lyrics, a story of our reunion and a new CD (not a CDR). Why did we go all out and 5 months after we initially “released” this album? Well, maybe we didn’t know what we had. We knew it was good-we were happy. Maybe we just weren’t sure you would be too. The reviews of the album on websites and in magazines have been a real boon to us, garnering us some attention that resulted in many up front orders of our CDs but the catch was that they had to be replicated CDs-even though we were happy with our first-run packaging, it was a CDR albeit nicely printed upon. Many buyers “frown” upon that so we went all out and committed to a decent run of CDs. It really does feel like the end of a process-a long road to another album that is now completed.
