Almost 13 years after the previous publication (April 1996: "Human interest story") is the American band of the 3rd Degree. "
Born in the early 90's through the initiative of bassist Robert James Pashman, which were first added drummer Rob Durham and guitarist Pat Kliesch, in 1995, with the arrival of the singer George Dobbs to complete the pieces of the puzzle , managed to record the debut album was a corollary of an intense live.
Then, as often happens, the indifference of the market discografico led the band dissolved. The 4 boys, but now we try again, after the publication of a live DVD in 2007 to seal the come-back.
The beginning or rather the first two tracks are quite promising, "Apophenia," fizzy, a little heavy, jagged rhythm, you can remember something of Echolyn and Spock's beard, "It works," more calm, with a beautiful work of keyboards and a vintage flavor that is not bad at all ....
The title-track is quite irritating with its Coretti-pop band from the 80s and the situation does not improve much in subsequent tracks: melody rather anonymous, some instrumental flash appreciable but nothing more ... sin ...
Not bad, however, "The proverbial banana peel" which recalls closely Belew of King Crimson early 80s.
Album, as you'll see, not fully successful, ripping a sufficient stiracchiata under 3 or 4 songs cited, from which, we hope, the band again for the construction of new compositions.
