3RDegree aus New Jersey haben nach eigenen Aussagen 1996 das Album HUMAN INTEREST STORY veröffentlicht und nach diesem Kraftakt erstmal 12 Jahre Pause gemacht.  2005 sah eine Reunion, Wiederaufnahme von Proben, Aufnahmen und Auftritten.  Und nun also NARROW-CASTER, dessen Name sich selbstparodistisch auf Broadcast und massenmedialen Erfolg bezieht.  Die enthaltenen Stücke wurden zwischen 1995 und 2008 komponiert.  Auffallend an allen zehn ist die (trügerische, weil übelste Takte vorkommen) Leichtigkeit der Rhythmik und Arrangements sowie der gekonnte (Satz-) gesang.  Dem dritten Grad sind Melodien, scheints, wichtiger als alles andere.

Und gerade daher kann man sich auf die gute Dreivietelstunde narrowcasting prächtig einlassen, selbst wenn West Coast wie im Falle des Rezensenten nicht unbedingt zur täglichen Dosis gehören muss.  Interessant.
