Welcome to 3RDegree’s home on the web.
Formed in 1990 (and based in Clifton, NJ) when founder Robert James Pashman (vocals, bass, keyboards) joined with drummer Robert Durham and started playing new songs as well as some songs from James’ former band Unreal, 3RDegree would be complete the next summer when Pat Kliesch joined as guitarist, writer and backing vocalist. In 1995, a lead singer would be added in one George Dobbs. Sadly, the band broke up in January of 1997 after their show at NYC’s famed CBGB’s. The founding members of the power-trio version of the band met in December of 2005 and decided to at least record again in the new year. In July 2006, they found singer George Dobbs and he signed on to this endeavor as well. In October of 2006 the band recorded the drum tracks for a new collection of songs signifying the beginning of the process and played 2 reunion concerts in April of 2007 with good friend Eric Pseja along for the ride. In June of 2008 both a new studio album (Narrow-Caster) and the DVD of the Reunion Concerts from a year earlier were released to great reviews. A new “Eco-Wallet” version of Narrow-Caster would be released in December of 2008.

The Prog Files.com makes us their featured band of the month and gives a perfect 5 star review!
Prosaic Paradise.com says: 3RDegree were really on, but what got me out of my seat from where I was resting and listening peacefully was a faithful and beautiful cover of Genesis’ “Me and Sarah Jane”. They know how to get to me!
Rick Dashiell of The Rickter Scale program says: 3RDegree was everything I hoped they would be. I've gotten to chat with Rob Pashman quite a bit of late, and respect his tireless work to get the band noticed. It's not easy with the competition and the lack of attention to prog to get noticed, but he tries. Also, they broke in a new drummer, and do not play much with distance being an issue. So I was really happy with the performance. George Dobbs is a real talent, and brings that aggressive NJ attitude to the band, and Pat Kliesch provided some excellent guitar moments. I was digging the early tunes, especially the smart pop sounds of "It Works" - the Narrow-Caster stuff at times has that Todd Rundgren well-written vibe. The cover they did was "Me And Sarah Jane". I found this to be interesting given their well-praised "Peel The Paint" on the DVD...a Phil Collins era Genesis song? I though he was the Prog Antichrist! But I thought it was a stellar version and a wonderful tune.
